Teams are an important part of Hero Zero as they help boost your stats and rewards from your missions or work. Teams are not just for the boosts; they are to used to Fight. If you want to you can also donate coins and donuts to your team. (Donuts must be bought from the donut shop to donate them; you cannot donate earned donuts.)
What should you do about teams? Well, you have three options when it comes to teams:
- Join a team
- Create a team
- Don't join or create a team
If you are new to the game and between levels 1 - 10, you should think about joining a team. Don't try making a team when you are a low level player. When you get a higher level and you think you have enough coins to maintain a team, go ahead and make one.
There are some bonuses the team gives.
(% boost to basic skills)
(% boost to experience earned at missions)
(% boost to coins earned at work and missions)
Teams fight to earn honor and trophies, as well as increasing the team's ranking. Only advisors and leaders can start a fight. Players must report for a fight in order to participate. Fights cost coins to the team on an increasing scale; each fight costs more coins than the previous fight. The winning team in a fight gains honor; the other team loses honor. Although fights cost a lot of coins and teams risk losing honor, fights are worth the risk to try to get the team to the top.
Trophies offer the team's players some bonuses with a 10% skill penalty in team fights. Other than the team bonuses in skills, coins and experience, each trophy offers one of the following bonuses:
- Courage (+20 Courage for fights, -2 use of Courage in fights)
- Energy (+20 Energy)
- Training Units (+5 Training Units)
How trophies are earned
Trophies are given away from the system at the very grand opening of the game server. Though, when a team beats another team which has one or more trophies, the winning team steals the trophy from the losing team.
- There is a total of 30 trophies on each game server (10 trophies for Courage, 10 trophies for Energy and 10 trophies for Training Units.
- Each team can have up to 5 trophies.
- The third trophy place is available when the team is expanded by 30%.
- The fourth trophy place is available when the team is expanded by 50%.
- The fifth trophy place is available when the team is expanded by 100%.
Ranks in a team determine what the player in that team can do, for example a regular team can't start a fight, when while an advisor can. There are 3 team ranks in Hero Zero which are (highest rank at the top lowest at the bottom):
Each rank has different privileges, as shown in the following table:
